Thanks for those tips. Here's one I haven't seen posted anywhere. I might post it at the other Electribe forum. Post it on your blog if you want, could be useful.
If you want to have more than two melodic parts per pattern:
Load a pitched sound to a drum or stretch pad.
Light some steps.
Activate motion sequence for the part, TRIG HOLD.
Record using the pitch knob to create a melody.
The pitch knob travels from -63 to +63.
Go to STEP EDIT, edit the notes.
These are the correct pitches:
Assuming the sample is the note C
Going down:
C 00
B -07
Bb -10
A -13
Ab -16
G -19
Gb -22
F -25
E -28
Eb -31
D -34
Db -37
C -40
B -42
Bb -44
A -46
Ab -48
G -50
Gb -52
F -54
E -56
Eb -58
D -60
Db -62
C -63
Going up:
