Combi Question after watching Kronos Livestream

Post by Waveform »

When creating a combi like in the example on the livestream video, can the release of the strings be adjusted independently of the piano by using the sliders on the left of the Kronos, and can this be saved as part of the combi?

I can't figure out how to do this on the M3 as the sliders seem to affect all sounds at once, and don't save away their positions.

Basically, I want to "tweak" cutoff, release times etc. of programs within combis and save the results without having to edit sounds at a program level. Can this be done on Kronos? (or M3?)

Thanks...

Yes you can! :) In Combi mode, go to the Control Surface tab and then select Tone Adjust. Choose the timbre within the Combi you want to adjust on the upper right hand side of the screen. Assign the parameter that you want to adjust to the sliders or knobs if its not already pre-assigned. Adjust parameter to desired value. This works in Sequencer mode as well. Have fun!

Right, that can be done by switching control surface to tone adjust mode. On the right side you're able to choose that timbre you want to treat. Changes in sounds will be stored in combi.

yes, it's really easy to do. In one of my demo videos i show an example of one of my combis where i change the sounds of the combi in realtime.

This can be done in any kind of combi by pressing the tone control switch.

The demo can be found here:

Thanks so much guys - I've just tried this on my M3 and it works similarly on there too - this has been a big help to me....

I guess I've been using the Real-time controller button rather than tone adjust button on the M3 and therefore adjusting all programs at the same time. Thanks for your help....
