Mini KP2 Power Supply?

Post by robindj »

Hi all...

Kinda new here.... just got my first Kaoss pad (mini KP2) the other day for recording DJ sets and generally mucking about. It's consuming batteries at an alarming rate so need to invest in a power supply.

Can't find anywhere that actually says what the product no of the power supply is in the UK? The Korg website helpfully says "available from Korg"

Any help is much appreciated

:D

The price tag is ludicrous for the recommend/official one.

I have posted in another thread asking if a any UK users have tried a cheaper one from Argos (mult purpose) and hope someone can answer that.

I will try try and find the part number for official one and post back.

Pay a visit to whatever the UK equivalent of Radio Shack is (electronics store with lots of adapters).

Take in your KP2 with you and ask them what you need. You'll notice it says on the back of the device the voltage and stuff.. They should sort you out. Just make sure you actually have them try it out in the store to make sure it works.

That's what I did. It is quite annoying though. Hey Korg! Enough with packing the crappy batteries in with things. I'd gladly pay an extra 10 or 20 to have had this come with the adapter.

The UK equivalent store would be 'Maplins'.

Let us know if you have any luck and the make and model :)

ok i'll give Maplins a try....

was pretty surprised it didn't come with a psu to be honest, it gets through 2 AA batteries in 5 hours and if you're recording DJ sets on it it doesn't last long!
