Go to a computer shop and let them do the job....

Seems strange that the original post is still there while Dans replies have been deleted!

Dan deleted his own post probably deciding that it wasn't worth the effort to communicate with this guy and Sharp has banned the trouble maker.

I think a computer shop is not considered an official Korg service center.

Why not install the upgrade yourself and if, by chance, you actually need warranty work done just swap everything out beforehand. Would a service tech really know the difference?

If you are the first with a Kronos X, please let me know if PCG works on it at that time.

hi,

Dan and his team dont need anyone to defend them, god knows i have given him and the team a tough time too over the last few weeks.
I do believe under the circumstances they do a great job, and need to be congratulated for that. Under extreme fire at least Dan is prepared to talk and write responses, try that with a lot of other companies and see where it goes.

I think it's time to give them a break. Wait for the release of the new version, and all of the details on the hardware upgrades and possibilities when they are released. I have agreed with Dan this is the right thing to do, so i hope others will follow, and dont forget to write about the good things that Kronos is along with a balanced and constructive point if you wish to make them.

But they will take responsibility, if they damage the Kronos while build in...
Me personally, I wouldn´t spend around 500 Euro for a 60 GB SSD and 1 GB Ram + Build in work.... Material is worth around 80 Euro plus half an hour for the build in. Taking about 500 Euro for this is gombeen...

If they will take responsibility than it might be possible. (but probably still not allowed/advised by Korg).

If they will take responsiblity then I imagine that will be reflected in their price and it won't end up as cheap as we would like.
