Roland Fantom G6 swap.

Hi I have a Roland Fantom G6 expanded to 1gb with a 4gb USB micro memory stick and full flight case complete with all the manuals.
I'm looking to swap with a Kronos of any flavour.
My G6 has some very minor scuff and marks on it ( purely cosmetic) and is in full working order, no problems at all. In fact, the keyboard has full Roland warranty until 3rd September 2013.
As I understand it, the Fantom G is the Workstation of choice for beat creation, the sequencer on this board is simply phenomenal!
I'm looking for a trade as I have always been a korg man and mainly play rock and i miss the 'korg sound', which is more suited to rock, while the Fantom has a more 'pop/rnb/dance' sound.

I also have a CME VX7 controller with plugiator board and soft carry case, and an SM Pro Audio V-Machine (boxed and as new) that I would be willing to throw in for a 73 or 88.

1. A used Fantom G is worth about half the price of a one year old Kronos. You should inform yourself about more realistic trading options like selling your Fantom and then gathering the missing money for a new or used Kronos. I have sold my G7 a while ago, because it does not remotely compare with the Kronos in sound quality and 95% of everyday functionality. No Kronos user knowing his synth will ever want to swap it to something like the halfbaked Fantom G.

Hi Jim, nice to see such friendly people over here.
I know a couple of people that had Kronos keyboards, didn't like them and ended up swapping for other things.
The reason I repeated my post is because, as I'm sure you know, the marketplaces on forums like this are often a bit of a graveyard.
If you didn't want to trade there was no need for the shitty post, you never know, someone else may have a different opinion to you.

Well actually Jim is incorrect in his pricing suggestions... Fantom g7s are selling for about $2000 and up on eBay. There is a kronos61 key on guitar centers website (used) for $1850.....right now

It is easier if you sell your fantom and save some money for the kronos and even get the x imo. Or if you are a roland guy get the jupiter 50 and happy days. Whatever suits your turf really. Hopping fo a swap is too difficult as you will find a lot of people only giving you $500 for your roland so it is easier for you to sell on ebay for $1,000,00 - $1,400,00.

Obviously you guys are all big fans of the Kronos, however Apex is right that *sometimes* Fantom Gs have gone for more than Kronoses (should that be Kroni?) on ebay, you need to remember that some folks don't like the Kronos, or have had so many problems with it that they just want shot of it.
And really @vstkeys $500? thats about £4.50 isn't it? I dont think any Fantom owner would let one go for considerably less than a Juno....
I always think it's a shame that people are so quick to be judgmental on forums, I guess anonymity breeds bravado....
