Best organ sound for Elvis music?

Post by scottd3n »

Hi,
I just got my Kronos 88 and am gearing up to play a show with Elvis Presley music where the part I'm playing is basically all organ. So I'm guessing it would be something like a Hammond B3. What is the best sound on the Kronos to approximate the Hammond?
The book was written for actual organ, so it includes all of the info on the stops as well as the Leslie cabinet on/off info. I'm not an organ player, so can anyone recommend any sort of 'tutorial' to get me up to speed so I can figure out how to adjust the Kronos as needed?

Thanks!

If it has all the settings for the drawbars and leslie and such you could go with any of the basic CX-3 programs and pull the faders until they match.

It's the Keyboard 2 book for the musical "All Shook Up". I have a hardcopy, so I'm not sure if it's available anywhere online... The show is all Elvis Presley music, so the sound would be whatever was used in his original songs.

Nice! Do you have an isbn-number for it?
