Hi all,
I have a good-sized large library of Spectrasonics and Roland Sample Archive libraries from the mid 90s that I would be interested in importing to the Kronos to help beef up some of the, IMO, fairly weak stock HD1 acoustic sounds.
I've had pretty good luck using Kontakt's Roland format import, but am trying to get away from the PC for writing and arranging due to workflow --> productivity issues I've had in the past , and so really like the idea of the Kronos being a true one-stop shop.
I know the Kronos cannot directly import Roland sample data, but can it do so indirectly, i.e. via an intermediate sample format?
Thanks. . .

Importing Roland-format CD-ROM Libraries to Kronos?
Korg Wavestation A/D, Roland XP-30, Roland S-760 x too many, Yamaha FS1R. Mackie HR824, Roland SRV-330. Previous machinery: Access Virus kB, Korg 01/WFD, Lexicon PCM 81, Roland Juno-106, JV-1080, Sony DPS V77, tc electronic Fireworx, and lots of other really nice analog and digital outboard that I should not have let go.
Try the demo version of CDXtract
Maybe that will read Roland format.
If it does, it might be worth buying to convert your Roland data into SF2 format for the KRONOS.

Thanks for the tip, Sharp.
I didn't see a list of supported formats on their site.
Do you know by any chance if CDXtract can export to the Kronos' native format?
Thanks,
David

It can convert Roland S Series CDs to SF2 format.
The KRONOS reads SF2.
