Is there a Ipad app 4 Kronos
Does anyone know if Korg is working on or already have an Ipad app 4 Kronos

Synths: Kronos 61, MicroKorgXl, Ensoniq EPS 16+, E-MU Proteus 2000, Mo'Phatt, Planet Phatt, Xtreme Lead-1, MP-7 & PX-7 Command Station
Controllers:Roland Ax-1

There is definitely not an iPad app for Kronos. Doesn't mean they're not working on one however.
It is technically possible that the v2 editor may run on it but in my mind that would be too big a jump from the v1 given the amount of time available to build it.

Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5,
Ahhh... the joys of having a Windows Tablet PC.

I purchased a new the ACER W500 for €200 less than a 32GB iPad.
With Windows 8 coming, there's going to be a massive range of tables on the market in a few months.
Happy days.

I have fujitsu T4310 tablet. Honestly I do not see how to utilize it's touch capabilities when no one writes touch friendly software for windows. So far developers ignore windows touch capability. Only touch friendly windows example is Yeco http://www.multitouchmusic.com but it requires extra libraries to be installed.
What I would really welcome for iPad is Karma sw/editor and if it worked for any hardware synth (except wave sequencing of course) - that would be heaven. Stephen said there are no plans for Karma for iPad. Meanwhile I'm thinking about something similar - simper and more universal (something between Karma and Genome) even laid down a concept, but unfortunately same problem here - I can't code for iOS.

There is no official app for Kronos, but I'm guessing there are apps out there that could be useful anyway.
I found this: http://liine.net/en/products/lemur/
(I don't own an iPad, but I'm considering it)
[Offtopic]
The reason why I'm considering an iPad instead of a Windows-based tablet:
- I've tried the public beta and I HATE Windows 8!
- There are very nice musical apps out there for iPad
- There are apps available for the digital mixer my band uses, which allows me to control my own monitor mix
- Many of my customers are starting to complaint if a website isn't fully working on their iPad... but I don't own one, so I can't find a solution

Well, I tried Air Display - mirroring a second virtual screen from my Mac to the iPad.
It works to an extent, but it's laggy, and you definitely need to use a capacitive stylus otherwise your finger covers up the mouse pointer, and makes it difficult to change certain parameters
@ Sharp - Had a look at a few PC tabs... there's some great deals out there, but the choice is confusing... would an older XP based one run the Kronos Editor, or would I be better getting something a bit more up-to-date?
@ mathieumaes - I thought about Lemur, but inputting all that sysex info for real time control is a pain. I tried MIDI Touch for a while, but it was way too much work to get things how I wanted them, and not enough control using CC's.

My 2 cents, the only one that's any good is right now is the ACER W500. I spent a lot of time researching this before I made my purchase.Kronik wrote:Had a look at a few PC tabs... there's some great deals out there, but the choice is confusing... would an older XP based one run the Kronos Editor, or would I be better getting something a bit more up-to-date?
That said, don't buy one

It's a bad time to buy a Tablet PC because Windows 8 is very close to being released. Upon Windows 8 launch, you will have 20 to 30 Tables to choose from and many of them are likely to be much better than the one I have.

I really do like android on my phone, it is fully integrated with all the Google services that I use (gmail, contacts, calendar, ...).
But, there's this huge downside that I've noticed in every device that I've "touched". Android devices seem to have a relatively large latency in touch responsiveness... Drumming with a drum pad app is simply impossible for me.
Nevertheless, there are a few MIDI apps out there:

I looked at developing an Android based app for live set lists & MIDI program switching. The big issue I came up against is that Android has no native MIDI support. Any Android apps you find that say they do MIDI are actually emulating MIDI over a network connection (either wired or wireless) which means you have to have a computer listening at the other end to receive the emulated MIDI data stream. There's no current way (that I have been able to find) to do MIDI over USB from an Android device, so there's no plugging an Android tablet to your synth with a USB cable... it would have to go via a PC or Mac, which rather defeats the object of using a tablet.
Now if Korg were to implement a native RTP MIDI driver in the Kronos OS, especially if they also enabled the use of USB WiFi dongles, that would be nirvana!

Kronos 73 Mk1, Roland Fantom 07 and a studio full o'stuff!
Core Midi and Core audio work very well if you connect iPad with Kronos through USB (camera connection kit - no other interfaces).
I have Korg iElectribe app and it is excellent to use it with Kronos. You can change the tempo from Kronos and it is synched and you can hear it from Kronos audio output...
It works well with garageband for iPad. I actually try to see if I can use genome sequencer to add backing tracks or different drum fills. S1 Midi Trigger from Miura Acoustic works well, you can use it as customizable midi control that works with USB or WIFI Midi server.
