"KRONOS System Version 2.0.2 will be supported via the upcoming KRONOS v2 Editor and Plug-In Editor software, which will be available for free download at www.korg.com/kronos/Support at the end of August 2012. The current versions of the Editor and Plug-In Editor are compatible only with KRONOS System Versions 1.6."
I think most forum posters are not surprised by Korg's attitude..they seem either resigned to it, or have experienced enough of the company's attitude over the years to know that nothing will change.
Myself, I still havent got over spending £3000 and broken promises from Korg....more fool me.

Remember that this is an independent forum. Korg employees are surely constrained by confidentiality clauses in their contracts, so don't be too hard on not getting official responses here.
Traditionally, Dan and others from Korg and Karma-Lab have been extremely helpful on a personal basis and even sometimes in giving a Korg perspective.
So it's a bit unfair to be more harsh on Korg's attitude than any other company in this respect (and Korg USA were descent enough to host this forum!!).
Kevin.

Just because somebody works at Korg doesn't mean thay know what's going on in the software develope end, or if it's even being done in-house. And if things aren't going well it is best to say nothing than to have to do constant retractions. I just hope the onscreen display will be larger that the exisiting version. Some features similar to PCG Tools would be nice also- bank management, file management, etc.

This is rocket science:

Or shall we call it state of the art?
The Kronos is more complex of course, but not that complex.

Kevin - sorry to be a stickler, but the forums are not independent if Korg funds the hsoting.
Also I am sure that Korg R&D read the posts for ideas, etc.
And thirdly, lets compare Korg to some other manufacturers....Access or RME, or Nord....hang on these are all from Euorpean countries...ha ha.

Actually Kevin is right. The forums are completely independent. Yes, they are hosted on Korg's server but that is as far as it goes. They have no say in how the forums are run and the forums are owned as always by Sharp.
Current gear: Korg Kronos 61, Voicelive 2, Shure SM58, Alesis M1 Active 520, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6
Have you looked at the sysex docs for the Kronos compared to the ultranova, there is quite a difference in complexity.Saxifraga wrote:This is rocket science:![]()
