Great upgrade.

Could you tell me what model number the Asus router is, I'd love to fit one in mine - was it easy to set up? :D

Some awesome upgrades. Done very pro. Great job. Was that all the info I would need to order one of those drives? Also, do it mount easily or did you have to get special mounting bolts or screws. :) :)

How are you powering the wifi router? Did you splice a DC line off one of the SSD molex connectors?

Looks like an ASUS WL-330N to me.

Powered by USB. Man wish I thought of that, would have installed while I had it open! Nice job BTW!

You are unbelievable!!!

Can you give us more info about the connection of the wifi router. Does Kronos have any internal usb? Did you powered it from there?

And what do you intent to do with it? Transfer files from the computer or something else?

Thank you!

I've done some checking - £36 (UK) for the router :)

Yes there are spare USB ports on the MoBo to power it, but this may put extra stress on the Kronos' PSU. But, as there's certainly enough juice for powering an external USB drive, I guess Korg thought about that... should be ok.

Currently you can use an external USB>Network adaptor to transfer sample data etc to and from your Kronos to PC/Mac via FTP. Previously you had to load it from a memory stick which took forever - FTP is way faster and easier

Using an internal WiFi router means that the external Kronos USB port is freed up... and no dangly wires :)

I will upgrade my Kronos with an additional GB next week. Will also try and use an Asus WL-330N from Amazon for 33.- Euro. Will post my experience and some pics. The one in the picture is the 3G version which I hope is not necessary. Don't know why I would need 3G access with my Kronos ;)

Edit: Sadly I had to postpone this upgrade because of the keybed problem.
I am thankful I did not void my warranty yet.

Maybe I will do the upgrade some time in the future.

Maybe, he (Dmitry) can find a small window of time and post simple step by step instructions that made his very pro looking mods and install of the Asus WIFI possible. The pics are great but instructions would also be greatly appreciated. Also how it actually works with a computer. Screenshots ? I want to Thank Dmitry for posting what he has so far to be sure. :D

Thank you!
