I'm aware of incompatibility due to 64bits
There is a 64-bit incompatibility, it is just very rare for a plug-in to trigger it. Only 1MB of data can be transferred between the 64-bit host and 32-bit plug-in. Attempting more than this will cause a crash.

A fully loaded Kronos data set, even with compression, is usually larger than 1MB. If you are very judicious about loading data into the editor banks and keep it to a minimum so that the compressed data is less than 1MB then you can use it in this configuration.

Where is USB midi driver 1.3 or 1.4 ? I looked on Korg's site and version 1.2 for Mac and 1.14 for PC are the only ones listed there

Sorry it's a mistake. Not yet update from 1.13r6 to 1.14r3.

I only say that I manage to launch the Kronos VST 32 bits plugins with SONAR X1 64 bits and use it for a live session to change from bank to bank.
I have not yet saved a sequence onto disk then reload it, maybe I'll have some surprises.
Thank for the information.

Some plugins are in the both version, so I can choose which one to use.
Some VST plugins are in 64 bits and some other in 32 bits....I post this message because I think it would be helpful for many users
Hello thanks for posting, I am using Windows 7 64, I have Sonar X2 64 bit, I tried using the KRONOS editor however got the following error

Image

I can use the editor independently with no issues I am using Korg KRONOS MIDI driver and my KRONOS is connected to PC via USB, but for some reason I can not use it in Sonar all my other 32but plugins works fine.. any input?

From the editor's manual:

"Windows: 32-bit VST Host required

The KRONOS Editor is a 32‐bit plug‐in. The Korg USB MIDI drivers for Windows support both 32‐bit and 64‐bit
applications, but cannot be opened by both 32‐bit and 64‐bit applications at the same time. The plug‐in and the VST
host each create their own connections to the USB MIDI driver; since the plug‐in is a 32‐bit application, the VST host
must be 32‐bit as well.

If you attempt to load the plug‐in with a 64‐bit VST host, the plug‐in will not be able to connect to the KRONOS."

Unless I misread the post from "phenaste" I think he is using Sonar 64 bit, just go back a page, Shakil asked him bout this and he replied... :?:
