mcm wrote:Hello all,

This is a newb question but what do you all recommend for external speakers for the Kronos? This is my first 'real' keyboard (I've played piano for years, but never got into keyboards till recently). This would be just for playing in the house, and not gigging.

I'd like something that would provide some bass, along with crisp brights. I am assuming i'd need an amp to push these speakers? Again, I am totally new to this, ANY help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Mike
I use Roland DM-2100 2.1 speakers and can highly recomend them both as keyboard speakers and for monitor (mix) Purposes. They take number of inputs from optical, 1/4 inch or spdif, bassa and treble control and also can have to seprate inputs going in at the same time (two volume controls). The optical is a dedicated 24 bit 96 khz chanel. I read of a review of the speakers before buying them and the guy was rating them very highly as mixing speakers etc.
Rolang VA7, Roland G-70 Ver3, quad core dell lappi with 6gb mem, DAW = Reaper, Amplitube 2,3. Scarlett Fockesrite 18-6, Mackie 1604 mixer, Washburn status 1000 headless bass, Roland 2.1 Monitors, Sunheizer Mic & Monitor headphones, Korg Kronos 88.

SAmson vs Behringer

Post by bfburkejr »

I think the Samson Resolve a 8's sound better for about the same price as the Behringer's, more presence in the mid range.
