Demo with the Kronos.

Post by keekma »

Hello all,

Just because I am proud of the new demo of my band.
Recorded all with the Kronos: drums, guitars, bass, and voices. Used some samples and all synthsounds are Kronos. Also the mastereffects are from the Kronos. All the bandmembers where very suprises by the capabilities of the Kronos. Very cheap recording!

That's a great tune! Also first rate production. Would be very interesting to hear how the whole thing was put togeather from beginning to end!
Too much gear to list.

Nice that you cut the string fall sample out of the original. I was too lazy for that and always just play it.

I think my pizzicato strings sound better though, and they're stock, did you use a synth-ish sound on purpose?

Nice demo btw! The blond singer is good too!

Thank you for all the compliments.

Yes it is all recorded in the Kronos. What I did:
- in seq mode I recorded my miditracks with a midiclick. I used a sample from the original mp3 track for the stringeffect in the chorus.
- in our practiseroom I recorded the acoustic drums with a stereo mic connected to the inputs of the Kronos. Our drummer is very good inplaying along with a midiclick.
- then I recorded the guitars straights from the ouput of the guitaramplifier into the input.
- and last the voices with a mic connected to the input.
This all in the audiotracks of the seq mode.

I used the mastereffects for the mastermix. I used Stereo compressors and mono compressors and a bit of exciter for the voices.

@sanderXpander. First I used C028 for the pizzicato in the intro. But live the keyboardist of Carley Rae uses a pianosound for the intro. Ik like that better, more pronounced, so I used the German Grand.

Thank you all
