I'm really interested in the Korg KP3 and want to use it to be the Master Clock for the tempo.
I plan to use it with the Nord Lead 2X and as the Nord Lead does not have the tap tempo function, the Kp3 would act as the tempo controller for the Nord.
Has any one tried sending the KP3 tempo information to other synths ? Nord lead to be exact, but I guess it can be applied for other synths as well
Korg Kp3 sending MIDI Clock ?

it does give clock out but no start/stop information which might make it impractical for any synth with an internal sequencer (or possibly an arpeggiator) that requires a start signal.
It does have a tap-tempo button but unfortunately no footswitch input for tapping tempo by foot.
I've never used it with a Nord but I've used it as master clock with my SP404 sampler, Kaossilator Pro and MicroKorg. I can't recall if it worked with the arpeggiator on the MicroKorg tho.

yeah if its set on internal clock it will send out MIDI clock...
i think there is also an 'auto' mode that I haven't used before that detects if external clock is coming in and if not then it will continue running on internal clock... i think.
