Korg pa 3x Problem with the mechanical buttons?
Hey i just got my korg pa 3x yesterday, its awesome but having used a korg pa 2x and pa 800 previously, I noticed that the korg pa 3x buttons feel different. When you press the buttons you have to press the buttom end of the button, theres more pressure if you press the top of the button as if thats the point of attachment on to the main board or something. Where as in the pa 800 and 2x the whole button moved down when pressed, in the 3x its mainly the buttom end that moves down and not the whole button. its as if when you press the button it goes down at a diagonal slant, it feels awkward. Is this just how the new pa 3x buttons are made?? or did the one i get turn out too be messed up

Hey i think i am just a bit paranoid, nobody else maybe notices this, but if you look at some of the videos on youtube, when ppl press the buttons for example the start/stop button, you ll see that the bottom of the button goes down more. Its not the whole button that goes down, maybe because its brand new its more noticeable, however it cant be misallignment because every single button is like that. I havent tried any other pa 3xs out before buying this one, so i hope some others will post about their experience.Veren wrote:Hi omarnawabi
Mine works as your older boards where the entire button moves.
I think there was some mis-aligning on yours during assembly....get it checked.

yes please do, just think about what i said when pressing the button you ll notice it too. Its something that not noticeable unless you pay close attention, but as you press the button hold it and look from the side of it you ll see the bottom goes in more whereas the top doesn't. Let me knowVeren wrote:Hi

Ya thats true mattew you dont rally need to put alot of pressure, but the only thing is this design durable like will it last without any problems? how long have you had your 3x, any problems in terms of wear and tear?fResH_ wrote:I noticed this too when i bought my 3x. i kinda like it. i dont need to put alot of pressure to the buttons. goes fast like water

Thank God i thought i may have a faulty one or something, is there a way to use the touchscreen for chossing variations or fills or for start/stop instead of the buttons?Reuben wrote:I'm sure this is how the buttons are meant to be. Kind of hinged from above.
They work fine and to me feel a lot sturdier than the old buttons on my Pa1x which often didn't respond if you hit them slightly off center.

pressing buttons sides , this mean that are partially defected and soon will be totally , since this is the first indication !

how does everyone strike the buttons
Has anyone noticed that the korg pa 3x buttons are easier and faster to press when you slide the inside of your finger down the button going with the way the mechanical buttons are made vs pressing it with your finger tip! I ve been doing it and it feels really quick and smooth and I feel like it may prolong the life of the buttons vs just pressing it head on with your finger tip. Cheers!
