PA2X PRO PAD sounds
If I'd like to set up new sound effects into the PAD area, starting from mp3 or waw files, what actions step by step I should perform ?
Thanks.
Attilio
Thanks.

Hi Galettouille,
unfortunatelly you did not read carefully my question.
I have sound samples in wav file format, I do not need to sample.
The question is which way, or exactly the steps needed, to introduce these wav sample files into PA2X Pro as PAD HIT sounds ( Wind whistle for example ), starting form Wind Whistle.wav file I have.
Thanks

Hello oscaralfa,
unfortunately you did not read carefully my response.
I did not wrote that you need to sample anything. You need to be in sample mode to import your samples and store them in PA2X format.
PADS always use sounds (normal sounds or drum kit sounds).
Sounds always use multisamples (from ROM or RAM).
Drum kits use single samples (from ROM or RAM).
Multisamples always use samples (RAM or ROM).
You can make multisample, or store samples, only in sample mode.

I need to ask some questions first please...Marko_sahil wrote:am trying to lead pad and sounds from a diff set once I a load it it doesn't work is there anyone can help me how to fix this
Which keyboard do you have? PA800/PA2XPro?
I assume you are referring to SOUNDs using samples?
When you say "doesn't work" - what do you mean - no sound at all? wrong sound? etc...
Where was this SET created? (Which keyboard?) and are you fully aware of how the SOUNDs were built?
Does the SET include all the PCM samples (RAM multi-samples and wav samples) required for the SOUNDs?
Can you actually see the RAM multi-samples/samples after loading?
Cheers
Pete

I believe Galettouille did fully understand your question.oscaralfa wrote:Hi Galettouille,

He is asking if you know how to load/edit sampled wav, build multisamples, create SOUND structures and then create Pads
Cheers
Pete

P.S Galettouille has created some great examples of samples and multisamples in the past...

I strongly recommend that you work through the Quick Start Guide in the User Manual first so that you become familiar with the Korg PA terminology.you wrote:I don't know much about this I jus bought the pa2x couple weeks ago
In order to help you I still need you to answer my questions:-you wrote:I load pad file and also performens file it comes in my set but most of them the names comes but no sound and pads plays weird

There are too many potential scenarios here.
Firstly if the SOUNDs do not work then any related PADs will not work.
If you are loading a complete SET which includes all the SOUNDs, related samples and PADs then it should work (assuming it worked on the originating keyboard)
Also make sure you are not loading any GLOBAL settings in the SET - that could cause problems on your PA2X because the SET has originated from a PA800.
Remember that PADs merely point to existing SOUNDs - if those SOUNDs are changed then the PADs will either not work or sound strange.
Also, if you are loading SOUNDs that use RAM samples, these samples MUST also be loaded otherwise you may get no sound at all.
Just trying to help but I must admit that I really don't know the detail of how you are doing this - for example you are loading PADs from a different SET so what SOUNDs do you expect them to use - are they just Factory sounds?
Cheers

Hi friends,
I'd like to create a simple rythmic loop of the beginning of the song Africa from Toto. Just the percussion loop and then import it into a PAD so that I can start it and then play along with a rock style. (this because I cannot find a proper style like they have for yamaha)
What do you suggest? is it easier to copy some bars from a midi file and import into the pad or better sample from a wave file?
Last question is it possible to do all the process with my Pa2x or I need an external software?
