Great I would like ti too ,, but look at ,,,wishlists , has been around for long before the pa3x ,I remember it in the year 2005 , korg did a survey and ask what we would like , and what we got was recycle technology and some new styles but ,,,knot what we ask for , and if ask to much from korg will removable good thing from the keyboard, just like what you are talking about pre-listen to styles, , look at the pa1x it had TC Helicon: Four-part Harmonizer, Reverb, Delay, Compressor, EQ – Pitch Correction and Voice Modeling,, korg made it better the pa 800 and pa2x and what kord did , they took the Harmonized and made it just three-part ,, ( we lost a voice ) and now korg gave it back to us , in the pa3x ,,,,you might have heard the saying ,,, wish in one hand and SH*T in the other hand and see witch hand fill up first ,,, how long have we been asking for a editor for editing sounds and styles,,what is 10 years , no longer the i3 keyboard was in 1993 , so it like almost 20 years ,, so I will ask santa claus when he come to town..

New products developments from scratch involves the rise of costs and this is the reason why a design (cell phones, TVs, DVD, MP3 players, PCs) are exploited in several versions and brands. For example Pa500 and Pa3X share the main processor, EDS chip, OS core routines and samples in the same way as M50 and M3 with the same EDS engine, samples, OS core and the processor. Only external sliders and pads plus an overall fashion design changes from basic to high ends versions in other words luxury features. But inside all models shares same similarities in digital architecture.

In previous versions happens the same.... one core design for different targets. The Hi Synthesis was exploited on several models such Pa50, Pa80, TR, Triton series etc and previous AI2 Synthesis on models such X5D, I5, IX etc.

The research and development of new models are based on previous designs and this is great for improvements but if features are cut without reasons remaining core functions as before aka same slow processors that leads to latencies and small memory size that don´t match technological advances find on current devices such PCs, tablets and cell phones this situation is another story that will be judged by users.

Hey KORG ! How about to add some existing programmed functions from Pa600 ??? You have now source code ,so you should easily implement that in Pa3x !

In Pa3x we should have several easy mode views,or the best solution to customize ourselves main screen> On Pa600 is very useful shortcut to Mixer and Effect in Easy mode:

and

you should add a copy resource function on Pa3x

and why flagship arranger (PA3X) does not automatically follow these functions ??? Bigger display and resolution should be introduced on Pa3x ,not on Pa600.

the Pa3x is over two years old ,it the old Flagship, with a hole in it ,, the Pa600 is new now and has new functions on it that we Pa3x people don't need , because if we did Korg would have put them in are new OS1.50 system , and because we have a great PC editing program that korg gave us with the keyboard,,, :? I would like the new functions , but I will have to upgrade to the new Flagship Pa600 for that , if I buy another korg keyboard , it will be the low end keyboard ,and save lots of money and get all the good stuff , like the big screen and more , I am upset with korg , now we all had are keyboard two years or less ,now do we feel like we got are money worth ,, :x

2 things;

I dont want this on a wish list because it's very normal that it is possible for a keyboard this expensive. Korg has to fix this in my opinion.

1. USB 2.0 and not 1.1 on file transfer to HDD
2. OUT 1&2 the same as OUT L&R. This means at least, effects and volume control with the main volume slider. It's possible on the PA1X for God's sake !

I am very dissappointed on this matter...

NOT FOR ME!!!! I DON'T WANT THAT... so ...

....I guess this is Korg's dilemma when designing a keyboard - we all want different things.

(Is the USB interface really USB 1.1??? - haven't used it yet)

I think (not sure) that the USB Device port was mainly thought of (now) as a MIDI interface to PC particularly as the USB host port is nice and fast for backup.

PA600 is newer - maybe some of this will be added to the PA3X eventually - wait and see - they are different keyboards and it is not a simple matter of adding code - the PA3X is far more complex technology-wise than the PA600.

Cheers

You are of course correct - not in the manual but on the website!!!!!

So the key is DON'T use USB Device for other than MIDI if you have a lot of data to copy.

I have a BOSS BR1600CD with USB device 1.1 - 26GB copy took 7 hours - nightmare as it is the only way of backing it up!!!!

Discontinued

Post by duby2 »

I Do not want the Pa3x to go on the Discontinued Products List ... Korg make a set number or keyboard ,,and then they are done ,, usless its a very hot board,, like what happen with Yamaha DX7 ..now we have Yamaha ,Roland, Generalmusics. and more so korg has to make a new one to keep up with the market place.and with korg all I need to do is wait for korg to come out with there new keyboard ( PA5xx ) and then wait again for 6 month and korg will come out with a less expenses keyboard and it will have in it 98% of there FlagShip keyboard in it .it all in the timeing when to buy , .****
for what we got in the pa3x for $3600.00 or so ...

as I said befor I could buy pa600 for $900.00 and VoiceLive2 for $800.00 and save $1700.00 and use the Voice live 2 on my next keyboard and will not have to do hours of setting up the voice live 2 over again , I will just have to fix the 900 songs and styles in the song book again ,,
korg comes out with a new keyboard and we have go thourgh hell to fix the song book again ,, and again , were if you use midi seq files , it works fine no matter what keyboard you use ,,( and they music sound like the song not kind of close to the song ))and just save the pa3x for jammin .

Still confused....why in Voice Processor Preset meny isn't switch on-off for V1, V2....on pa2x was simply checkboxes

Image

Why not for on something like that on pa3...or anything for this option....

Next step can be shortcut on assignable switches for this checkboxes....

It's useful for quick switching some harmony voices in one scale.... :)

Best regards.

you guys are complaining that the pa600 have bigger screen? common man i mean. even that screen sucks.. What about a colofrull screen like tyros have and the big screen

and the voice processor, lacks alot..

I would recommend KORG to not work on a new keyboard, fix what u have first of all :D
