Keep getting unable to save message.
I am in sequencer mode. I have setup my Kronos to play .wav files as backing tracks. Everything is working correctly. I followed the manual and got everything to work as expected. It is now time to save the work. I went to Disk mode and chose to save the seq. I keep getting the message "unable to save" I tried save all. It saved everything but the sequencer data.
Can anyone help me out with what to do?
Thanks!

Re: Keep getting unable to save message.
Not quite shure i understand what you mean. If you have loaded the wav file into a new song slot in seq, it should save everything you do to that song!? I use set list and then I save all when turning of my Kronos. Can you maybe decribe your workflow a little more?CoreyMast wrote:I am in sequencer mode. Ok I followed the manual.
I moved the .wav files onto the hdd.
I loaded the files.
I went into seq. mode and selected track edit page. I then assigned the wavs to the appropriate places. Audio 1, 2, 3, via audio event edit.
It plays back everything is lined up and in order at this point.
I then did some routing I sent track 1 to output 1, and track 2, 3 to output 2. I checked this it works.
I then made a key/string split.
This works. I played to the backing track. Everything is good.
Ok I go to disk mode and click the save tab. I then click Save Seq.
I select a folder I made on the hdd. I click save and it brings up a popup box that says "unable to save file"
That's where I'm at right now.

I'm not sure. As soon as I load a .wav into an audio track the sequencer will no longer save anything. You can't erase all tracks and save. You can't save another song number it's like it just renders the sequencer useless as far as saving data. Once you shut the Kronos off it will save sequencer data again until you load a .wav file. The .wav files playback correctly so I don't think it's corrupted data. I've tried several different files.
Hi again.
This is how I do it:
First I go to set list and chose an empty slot.
Then I press SEQ
Track Edit page, choose audiotrack, drop down menu, select set song length,
Drop down menu, select audio event edit, press Track end, press insert, select region and press import. Find your wav file and press ok. Press ok again and then press done.
Ok , now set up our IFX, outputs and sounds.
Go to P0:Play/rec and press the drop down menu. Press Add to set list.
Then go to setlist, drop down menu and write setlist.
Go to disk and use the save all command.
This works for me

Yes that is pretty much the exact same thing I did. I just didn't do anything with set list.
Ok I updated to 2.06 O/S
I went through the process again. Same result "unable to save" I then hit Erase track and selected erase audio tracks. I tried to save and it saved this time. Which is progress from before when I'd have to restart the kronos to save anything. Then I rebuilt my sequence and it saved.
Going to turn off the machine and load the song and see what happens.

With some more experimenting I think I figured out the reason why. I was trying to save the file into a folder inside of a folder.
I believe in the manual somewhere it said this was not possible with sequences with .wav files.
Once I tried saving it into a root directory no problems. When I tried to move or resave it into the folder it was unable.
Hope I save somebody else a day of trying to figure that out lol

I think your right. I got the same error as you did, saving to a folder inside a folder.CoreyMast wrote:With some more experimenting I think I figured out the reason why. I was trying to save the file into a folder inside of a folder.
