Triton/X50 sounds in Kronos

Post by gymrocker »

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas to you all. I have a Korg X50 and now a brand new Korg Kronos X 73. There are some sounds in the X50 I love (tropico bells and dolphin ride especially) and was wondering if anyone has had any success moving triton based patches into the Kronos format. There was a collection on korgpatches.com (classic synth collection) but it is unavailable and I cannot contact the provider. Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated and I am more than happy to share any of my patches with members of the forum.
Thanks.

I believe those two patches were ported by somebody...they are both in my Kronos at the moment. There is a set of Triton sounds in a .pcg floating around somewhere. I just checked the Oasys and Kronos download sections on this site and couldn't find them there. Let me see if I can locate the PCG for you on my computer.

you cannot "move" Triton patches over to the Kronos. search the forums for more details.

Yeah, we know that. Somebody reproduced these either on the Oasys or Kronos.

it seems gymrocker didn't know that since he posed the question. might be best to just set them up side by side and start building the sounds from scratch. it would be a good way to get better acquainted with the Kronos.

Hi. I did a side by side programming a while back(triton to kronos). It takes a bit of tweaking as not all settings work the same when just copied. Here is the link to my Triton & 01/w patches.

I do intend, at some point, to do some more so if you have any particular Triton patches let me know.

Merry Christmas!!!
Gig Gear = Korg Kronos 61(down to 1 keyboard at gigs... Its great!!)
