Hi,
I can get both apps using CoreMIDI (network session 1) between Logic and the apps, but I have an Alesis I/O dock with its own MIDI interface (seen by all other MIDI enabled apps I have - sunrizer, NlogPro, Animoog, Rebirth etc etc) but I can only get the Korg apps to use the Network session MIDI. I don't want to use this as it has bad lag.
I have midibridge but I'm not really sure how I'd use it to accomplish what I want to do.
What would be really great would be to have a choice of MIDI inputs within the Korg apps, like all of the synths above, where I could tell the Korg apps which interface to use...
Getting iMS20 and iPolysix to see MIDI ports on Alesis dock

As best as I can tell, the Korg iPad apps monitor for and use data on all CoreMidi ports available.
For example, if I am running the iElectribe app and have my iPad in my iO Dock with the MIDI ports on it connected correctly to ports on my MIDI interface. I can create a track in Reaper that sends MIDI data on channel 10 to the ports connected to the iO dock, and it the corresponding parts on the iElectribe will play.
I have also been able to play the synth part on the iMS20 by sending the data on MIDI channel 1.
Another scenario I have tested may shed some more light on this. I hooked up the EMU x-MIDI 2x2 to the iPad using the camera connection kit. The EMU interface makes 2 MIDI in and 2 MIDI out ports available to the iApp. I connected both sets of ports on the EMU interface to separate ports on my 8 x 8 interface on my host PC. I created a track that sent data on channel 10 to the 8 x 8 port connected to EMU port A, and the iElectribe made the expected response. I then changed the output of the track to use the ports on the 8 x 8 connected to EMU port B, and it played the same, exact part.
Hope this info helps.

Hi Rick,
I'm slightly confused
I can get the polysix respondiong fine to data sent on channels 1 through 8 on the Network Session (wifi) interface, but can't select the Alesis MIDI interface from within the polysix app, so cannot get it to respond to anything sent from that interface (unless I use live routings in Audio/MIDI setup on OSX, which I don't want to do as I want to use the Network Session for a DAW controller that uses network MIDI.
Am I making life difficult for myself?
I wish Korg would just let me select which MIDI port to accept incoming data from, just like all of the other ones do.
Apart from that, it sits nicely in my studio alongside my outboard analog gear
