Hi all, I'm having a very strange problem with my Radias and am wondering if anyone has any ideas about what's going on or what to do?
Sometimes when I enter edit mode, the screen keeps going back to the Filter Page. For example, I press the Patch button, the screen displays the Patch parameters but flickers between the Patch and Filter Page. Same if I push any of the other Page buttons, it keeps flickering the Filter page screen. It makes it impossible to edit the patch.
Sometimes when this happens, I turn the Radias off, then back on and it goes away.
Has anyone else seen anything like this? Thanks!

Hi, Mutiny.
The reason is - that one of the knobs from filter section is broken. When you are in EditMode, any tweeking automatically drops you on the page you edit. So, one of your filter knobs produces random values, thus Radias thinks that you tweek it. You can easily recognise this knob - when it drops to filter again, just watch what the parameter is highlighted.
I've got the same problem, but not so epic. My KeyTrack knob in filter section is hardly working. Tweeking doesn't produce full range of values. And, as in you case, sometimes it "randomizes", and drops to filter section page.
If I'm not mistaken, it is quite a spread problem in Radias. Program/Value knob often makes problems as well.

Thanks for the response rukaav, it makes sense. Is there a way to fix this? Maybe spraying some contact cleaner into the pots that are twitchy?
It's crazy and when it's happening it's impossible to edit anything. Guess I could always hook the Radias up to my pc, do the voice editing there, and write the voices back to the Radias.

hi,
I had the same problem a couple of years ago. I sent it to be repaired, and after cleaning the radias and installing new knobs (I think my problem was in the filter section as well among other sections), it worked fine again. It wasn't a software problem or anything like that. The knob/connections were faulty and were sending information although nothing was being done.
I think you'll find that post once you look around for a bit, I posted the question back then

I had that problem too, really annoying.
I found if I pinned the knob all the way right to where it says "hold" it would not jump around. Then I would just edit filter key tracking manually using the rotary knob and arrow buttons if I wanted it.
For whatever reason the problem seems to have gone away on its own now... my filter key tracking works again.
