The Mininova from Novation that I just got has three oscillaters and it is a very capable little beast of a synth. Of course this Kingkorg thingy might not even make it to market here and if it does one would hope a new name could be found prior to such an embarrising marketing move.

Are people really complaining about the 3 osc architecture!?!?! You guys are aware that the GREAT MAJORITY of subtractive synths consist of a 2 osc architecture right?

If it hadn't been for the ridiculous name and logo, I would have said it looks legit.

Or, at least: excellent photoshopping!

KingKorg? Surely some kind of joke.

Hope so anyway!

If it is real and there is a 'KingKorg' then it kind of reinforces my view of how Korg marketing have changed to be seemingly happy to treat their customers as profound idiots.

'The Game has been changed' was the last such example...

Get some sense of humor in your life, man.
You sound incredibly bitter.
Let me guess, you still haven't come to terms with your OASYS trauma?

LOL!

Trust me - I have plenty of humour in my life :)

From a purely logical view I do not see how a repackaged predecessor with some technical enhancements can be called a game changer... Simple as that! No trauma involved

Kronos is game changer as it brings affordability for Oasys technology I think ;)
KingKorg - depends on what is inside. 'King' sets expectations high. Perhaps too high :?

We are discussing a topic about something called Kingkorg for crying out loud. No one without a sence of humor could discuss such a joke .I am pretty sure that cello's humor is in good condition after hearing from him.

I'm not sure what sounds more ridiculous, me asking for more than 3 oscillators in what looks like a will be a huge expensive keyboard with cool on-board tweekability or others complaining / focusing on the new name and logo.

Anyhow since I am sure there has to be other great features on the King Korg, so with that in mind I will officially retract my complaint of there being "only 3 oscillators" and place my attention on hoping and guessing what other features this new keyboard may have; like will it have a step sequencer, what about an arpeggiator, how many programs can be stored, what kinds of effects or here's a good one; can we pug in external audio to be affected?

Does anyone else agree that there are more important things to talk about other than the freak'n name or logo?

Three oscillators at least is a great start, featurewise.

Yes, I agree the name is not an issue. To me it sounds like a great name. :P It's FUN.

In a couple of weeks, we will know. Who was laughing at the Kronos after it was announced? Not me...

The name doesn't worry me at all - Mono/Poly anyone?

If it is *genuine* with 3 oscs and a decent selection of filters, then I'll be up for one... depends on the price and delivery (I had to wait a very long 6 months for the Kronos).

If Korg are aiming for a "Poly 6" for a new generation, I can't see how they'll go wrong... the three LCD's intrigue me!!!

The 3 displays don't make any sense at all. Raises the production cost and therefore unlikely to be true - Korg is always lowering the build to reduce the cost. Kind of suggests there are 3 Arduino boards in there or some other duplication of hardware.

So the pictures might be close but not the final model - or its complete fantasy.
