Is there a way I can use the damper pedal thats connected to the Kronos to also act as a damper pedal for a second keyboard connected via midi?
Right now I have to use to seperate pedals which can be difficult, and was wondering if I culd just use one to control sustain for both Midi channels.
Using the damper for a second keyboard.

This seems to be a very common requirement for anyone using a 2nd keyboard with the Kronos. IMHO, it seems like it would be a simple change for Korg to add a setting in Global such as "Translate Damper messages to all Timbres using external MIDI input".
There are a variety of external hardware and software "kludges" that are possible to workaround the current shortcoming, as discussed in the linked thread above.
I have already mentioned it, but it might help to have more members second the motion. Please add this to the Kronos Wish List. Yes the thread is miles long, but it is the only place we have for feedback.

Dbe4l- I have done it. As a general rule, I have to disable it so it doesn't affect the "slave" keyboard. If you are talking about doing it to both keyboards simultaneously in a layered Combi, you probably have to send MIDI on the Kronos to the slave on the Global MIDI channel Gch.

Re: Using the damper for a second keyboard.
There is a way with Karma to do this. When Karma is on, the controllers on the Kronos and connecting to the Kronos are working with the second keyboard I discovered. But you don't want Karma to trigger the notes. So you have to make shure the midichannels Karma is working on are not the channels you are playing. You can change this in de Karma menu. If your second keyboard is playing on midichannel 2, make shure one Karma midichannel is on the same channel.Dbe4l wrote:Is there a way I can use the damper pedal thats connected to the Kronos to also act as a damper pedal for a second keyboard connected via midi?
