My M3 Touchscreen not responding
I cant get my M3 screen to respond to my touch. The screen looks fine, data wheel works etc. i cant even get into the calibration page. Any suggestions? I did have it turned off for about a month.
Thanks

I am in Canada and finally had the screen film replacement shipped from Korg USA to a Korg repair shop in Ohio.
The repair shop then shipped it to me.
Korg USA has the film in stock that you need.
Your local Korg tech can order it for you.
It was somewhere in the $100 range.
I took it to a Korg repair tech in Canada and it was an hour labor charge to replace.
Works beautifully now.

it happened to me last month! firtsly some part of the screen starts to not respond or to respond randomly, then the whole touchscreen stop responding (but M3 works fine).
i always had the touchscreen tilted up. i try to put it flat but no luck.
then i discover that warming the touchscreen surface with a hairdryer in some way it returns working correctly. it seemed that the gel under the touchscreen were gone dry and solid.
but this help for a week, then no way to have touchscreen working.
so i sent m3 to korg repair center, i had to wait one month (and to make several call to fasten up the whole thing, very bad customer service) and finally have m3 back with new touchscreen for 192euro.
now it works fine, but i keep it flat

Although I have not had this problem with my touch screens yet I have been concerned since I have my screen tilted upright for years. While I didn't dispute that heat fixes the problem I had doubts that keeping it upright was the real cause. Look at the number of other devices with upright touch screen. So I set out to find the science behind all this.
So according to what I found it appears that other environmental conditions may cause the glue to weaken and create loose connections with the wires on the edges of the screen. So maybe heating the entire screen is a bad thing, just try heating the edges first.
Here are some links that suggest that it's only the edges that should be heated.

Finally goes out
Well my screen is acting up again. I went ahead and got on the waiting list at the Parts is Parts Korg distributor store. I spoke with the guy there. He said" we have these on backorder and they go real fast once they do get here from China". I asked him( Its that bad with these M3 screens?) he said" oh yea".
Man not good..
