How to create a drum pattern or karma scene from seq?
Hello,
I want to save my seq to a drum pattern or to a complete karma scene.
Is it possible? How does it works?

You can play your sequencer riff as a drum pattern and use it in Drum Track mode. Let's say that you are in Sequencer mode and you are using the program "Insane FX Kit" to lay down your own beats, or even KARMA beats that you record to the track.:
1) Press the TRACK EDIT tab.
2) Press the PATTERN/RPPR sub-tab, PATTERN EDIT page.
3) Select a User pattern, like User 00. It's a good idea to name your pattern via the PATTERN NAME tab.
Now, decide on how many measures you want it to be. Let's say 3 measures of what you recorded in MIDI Track 1.
3) Open the dropdown menu and select PATTERN EDIT. Set LENGTH to 3.
4) Also from the dropdown menu select GET FROM MIDI TRACK. Pick the first measure of the 3 measure playback you want from the Track/Song that your recording is on. This will now be on pattern User U00.
5) From the dropdown menu, select CONVERT TO DRUM TRACK PATTERN. You have 1,000 slots to put it in, which is why naming it helps.
In Program mode, choose a program you want to play the drum track with. Let's say you choose a piano program.
6) Press the COMMON tab.
7) Press the BASIC/VECTOR tab, then the DRUM TRACK page. Under DRUM TRACK PARAMETERS (upper right screen), press the little PROGRAM arrow and select "Insane FX Kit."
Under DRUM PATTERN (upper left screen), select the drum pattern that you named.
You should now be able to play your original drum riff with the piano program. WRITE the program.

ok...after spending some hours I managed to reach my targets
I imported a midi file to the sequencer. I had to shift the drum track +12. Than I removed the midi events for changing the programm and selected a drum set for the track. Like Mike Conway described I created 5 patterns to use them later in my karma scenes. I converted each pattern to a drum track. After that I went to the disk (save) mode and selected save all. I only checked the drum patterns and wrote them to disk. Finished -> 5 new patterns.
One question is still open for me: If I have a midi file with two drum tracks, is it possible to copy all notes of one track on top of the other track without overwriting the existing notes? Or is it possible to add two patterns from two midi tracks to one drum pattern? I noticed that you can assign the keys (notes) to tracks within a drum pattern

Thanks
Just for understanding some seq functions. What exactly happens if I create a combi from the sequencer? I think I saw a menu entry save to combi. What happens to the tracks and all other settings? Normally I would say a combi is a combination of karma, drumtrack and instruments perhaps with split on the keys.
