Pedal problem

Post by dangerousdave »

My DS-1H damper pedal has started to give me problems. It's continuing to sustain when I release the pedal. I opened it up and used air, then lube, on it, but neither worked. There's nothing obviously wrong with it mechanically, so it looks like it's an electronic issue. Is it likely to be possible/economically feasible to repair it or have it repaired, or is it time to spend some money on a new one?

I use the same pedal with my OASYS and had this issue once.

Doing some tidying up, I disconnected the pedal and the notes were holding when I re-connected it. Then found out I'd put it in the wrong socket on the OASYS - all was sorted once corrected!

Just something for you to check...

Not a global settings (damper polarity) problem? Try a "known good" damper pedal.
