CX3 - how to use drawbars on lower manual?

Post by NordC2 »

Probably stupid question:

Playing a split CX3 program (ex A050 Cat on amojo) you may play the upper part drawbars by the 9 sliders in "Tone adjust" mode. What should I do to use the sliders for the lower part?

And how do I access the lower part drawbars in a Combination?

Changing drawbar positions via the touch display is hopeless.....

In Program mode you can reassign the lower to controls like the knobs, but that's probably not what you're looking for. There's no way to automatically switch between them.

Combi is a good solution. In combi, if you have upper set to timbre 1 and lower to timbre 2, you can quickly switch between them by pressing TONE ADJ+MIX BUTTON (1 or 2). If you have a CX3 program that you like, duplicate it to create a lower manual version. Change the control surface assignments of the duplicate so the faders are controlling the lower drawbars. Now bring them into a combi, create a split and use the above method to switch between the drawbar sets.
