Please help! My Krome 88 hangs/freezes at start up

My Krome freezes when I turn on power I see the bar goes all the way to the right and just sits there with Korg Krome logo screen.

I saw the manual, but it says turn on Krome and insert card with OS and do it from global blah blah. This is helpful if actually starts!

Does anyone knows how to reinstall OS or factory reset when it doesn't boot? or freezes from start screen? please help, I need to practice, thank you and I am sorry I am new to navigating this Krome and forums.

Try a reset, I think it's hold the page and exit keys then power on.

I did try page + exit while turn on power, I did see writing into memory message, but still freezes at startup screen. Thank you for quick reply.

I had a similar problem, but mine froze after about 20% of booting. I got an error message in the upper left corner saying something about hardware and memory problems. The hard reset thingie didnt work for me.
However I had to return my keyboard and get a new one.
I hope it goes better for you!

If I understood the thread properly, thats why I never change the OS system of a keyboard even for updates,too nervous.Similar thing happen when changing the OS system on my computer from vista to windows 7 always had glitches after that. Ive seen these problems on Kurzweil sites especially.

Well,

Called Korg Tech support and after pushing buttons: page + 0 and exit + page, even with the message "writing into memory" nothing happened.

Tech says something wrong with hardware and needs service. Since I got this for about 2-mo. it's going back to Sweetwater where I purchased from for a replacement.

Before this, I had few issues like, previous patch sound keep ringing after I change to another patch and freezing couple of times, but worked after power down and restart.

I hope everything will be better after I get my replacement.

hi guys. I'm having similar problem with my krome. I want to load some pcg files with sd card. but my krome freezes every time I insert the memory card. anyone experiencing same problem? any solutions?
