Robbinhood - The metronome is probably using the Klopfgeist AU plugin to generate the sound, but even if you change it to a MIDI note it will probably still get recorded with your current setup.
I think I may have figured out a way to solve your recording issue, but I've just woken up, so give me a few hours to check.

So you know, the only work around i was given by korg support (they experienced same issue) which is to monitor via the individual outs or something like that

Exactly... And here's how to do it using your set up.robbinhood wrote: monitor via the individual outs or something like that
1. Plug your Tannoys into outputs 1 & 2 on your Kronos
2. Go to the GLOBAL>AUDIO page on the Kronos and set USB 1 & 2 to outputs 1/2
3. Create a new Audio track in Logic and click the I & R buttons on the Inspector
4. In Logic, go to PREFERENCES>AUDIO and make sure Software Monitoring is enabled
You should now be able to monitor any audio track coming from Logic, and separately record the output from the Kronos without re-recording all your previously recorded tracks.
Works here, so you should be fine.

Well Kronik, the email notification woke me and my woman up. But this is so worth getting up...
*boots up kronos*
it works....
Well, Its a suitable work around kronik. you really saved my day here.
Thank you, so very f*ck*ng much. if you need anything let me know, that goes for everyone else who contributed especially Lou
Thank you guys so much. I can finally get back to this project

And one more thing, Since the kronos's main volume knob wont work now.. whats a good way to turn down the freaking met on logic now? Also, I am getting a bit of latency... But my computer sux. And i may have to live with it...

Glad it helped.
Once you've got your Hackintosh up and running, you could always change the audio buffer size to reduce latency - Logic's default is 256, but 128 samples should reduce it to a workable level.
You can change the volume of the metronome by right clicking the metronome icon on Logic's transport bar, and select Metronome Settings. There's a slider to change pitch, volume and various other settings.

I hate to dreg this up from the past, but I was wondering if anyone could explain what could be happening in my system.
In Kronos: USB 1+2 set to L/R out.
Logic set at 48K.
When I record audio in from Logic, it records the metronome as well.
So I follow the example as above.
I click the I and R button on the track, and Software monitoring is set up in the preferences.
I go to record.
I get no metronome sound at all.
I get a horrible doubling sound, like double tracking, but with a .2 second delay.
When I hit stop, I get a loop of about .1 second of audio, it comes out as a grating noise.
It doesn't go away until I actually go into preferences in Logic and click off software monitoring.
What's going on?
I know this has got to work somehow.
Thanks again for all the great help and advice here!

We are in the same boat.. I got the same trouble and found this thread.
first of all.. software monitoring (I) gives delay sounds. the best to monitor your input (eg. Kronos) is to monitor straight from the keyboard. So, I think it is better to turn it off.
Happened same to me last night, the first time I recorded Kronos to Mac Logic using USB. Everything I hear from Mac on Kronos USB input was recorded back to Logic. So, metronome clicks and other tracks are recorded.
What I have read from the prev posts, on Audio Routing (GLOBAL mode) menu, we should route/send USB input to OUTPUT 1/2 not to L/R.
In graphical,
KRONOS -> L/R -> MAC (Logic Pro)
KRONOS + USB Input from Mac -> OUTPUT 1/2 -> Monitor Speakers.
The problem is you can't monitor OUTPUT 1/2 from your headphone. Unless there is a way, please let me know. And I read, you can't control the OUTPUT 1/2 using your master volume knob too.
So the best thing is hopefully you have:
OUTPUT 1/2 -> Volume Control (eg. Mackie Big Knob) -> Monitor Speakers
Hope this helps.
