I had the portamento jack of my DW-8000 wired to the noise source.
Without a cable the noise source was connected, but you could plug in a sound input (eg guitar).
At that point, the guitar appeared at the filter inputs and went through the digital delay. With high resonance and the arpegiator it was a unique sound I don't think I've heard since.

DW-8000 Portamento Input Mod
Can you please post pics / the installation procedure? I would really like to do this but I'm not tech enough to do it on my own. Would have to outsource this. Thanks.

Re: DW-8000 Portamento Input Mod
If you give the description to a keyboard tech, he should be able to get it working. I recall the circuit board is clearly labelled. I can't send photos as I haven't even seen that keyboard since 1998 (though I think its in my folks' basement).lunarboogie wrote:Can you please post pics / the installation procedure? If I had to do it again, I'd instead use one of the other jacks as portamento was a useful one.
