Connecting a Kaossilator Pro to a Kaoss KP3

Post by tacoloco »

I recently purchased a Kaoss Pad KP3 & a Kaossilator Pro & need advice on how to get them working together properly.

Right now, i have an RCA cable from the Kaossilator OUT going to the speakers

I have an RCA cable from the Kaossilator IN going to the KP3 OUT

With this setup i can hear the KP3 synth noises coming out the speakers, but can't transfer loops between the KP3 & the Kaossilator.

If i move the RCA cable from the Kaossilator OUT from the speakers into the KP3, i can transfer loops, but can't hear anything until i switch them back.

What am i missing? Do i need another component, like a mixer?

Any help would be hugely appreciated. I can't find any resources that discuss this.

Thanks guys

Thanks for the advice.

I set it up the way you just recommended & i can transfer loops over to the KP3, but now i can't hear anything out of the Kpro.

Any suggestions?

I figured it out - set the KP3 to DIRECT mode with the switch on the back
