How do I SV-1 to Cubase on a Mac?

Post by saskatchewanobie »

I'm hoping that the USB cord from the SV-1 to the Mac, plus the Driver I downloaded from KORG and installed will give me a link where I can now play tunes into Cubase on the Mac.

The first thing I get when I start up Cubase on the Mac is an error window that says ports for microphone 1 and microphone 2 are missing.

Can anyone help me accomplish a little more in my plight to get the SV-1 hooked up for midi.

TIA,

Ken

so have you used Cubase before on this Mac. That error seems very strange. Check your Audio and Midi settings in OS X first to make sure you devices are showing up properly (and click view then look at the midi window to see if the SV-1 is showing up).
If it all shows up fine then you should be ready to go (midi wise that is).

Got the SV-1 showing up, all I need to do now is learn how to work with Cubase. I kinda wish Adobe would come up with a MIDI program as all of the one's I've tried are like trying to tame a wild horse. Cubase has been one of the best I've tried, but by no means 'user friendly.'
