Help Please - Name This Patch

Post by esierka »

So I started working on this song that contains the sound at the this link:

https://soundcloud.com/eric-sierka/korg ... tery-patch

Unfortunately, I failed to write down the patch name and settings and I just can't seem to find it now. I know it came from my Korg Kronos. I thought it was the Combi A059 Deep Swirling Tide Pools but I have not been able to exactly recreate it. My song tempo is 110 BPM and the rhythmic part syncs to that perfectly (I set the tempo on the Kronos to match my DAW BPM). I also have all the QR patches (magical clouds, magical space, pianos) and associated Combi's so in theory it could be one of those, but I can't quite seem to find it.

Can anyone help me find this? I'll send good Karma to anyone who does ;-)... yes, pun intended.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi
Have you tried the editor that should show you all the names on your kronos :)

I actually recorded both the audio and MIDI on separate tracks into my DAW. Unfortunately I did not label those tracks with the information about the Kronos track. So while I know where the above-mentioned patch is on the Kronos, I don't know that that patch is the one that produced the sound that I'm looking for. Thanks for the idea. Any other thoughts?

I'm thinking Combi with KARMA turned on? if you do find it save it as a favorite- it'll be easier to find later.

Agreed and my recollection is that is the case... Just hoping someone recognizes which one :-)...

If it's a combi there are only three banks to check, right?

I believe there are four... Banks A, B, C & D and yes I'm part way through trying all of them... Just thought someone might recognize it and save me some search time perhaps. Plus, I may have tweaked things just a bit (maybe used SW1 and/or SW2, or moved the joystick)... anyway, still trying on my own and still hoping someone might have a great ear and share their thoughts... thanks everyone. I'm still all ears :)

If you know only a slight part of the name you can find it with PCG Tools. Check the set list generator, fill in the part of the name and you remember and press Generate. You get a list of all programs, combis, set list slots, drum kits and wave sequences with that part of the name in it.
