I don't believe this is possible without some sort of external utility. The main reason being that Legacy Collection uses standard VST save files (.fxp and .fxb) where the hardware Wavestations used .mid, .syx, etc. (SysEx). That being said, I'm referring only to the ability to import, however, many of the original sounds from the Wavestation series are already pre-loaded in the factory banks of KLC Wavestation (and indeed many of the expansion banks).

Do you have a voice list for the Wavestation (hardware) series to reference?

Cheers!

Even though it is currently not supported, I would like the ability to transfer data from the software to my Wavestation A/D and SR hardware. Some day, the software will no longer be supported, but I will still have the hardware platforms.

SysEx import is supported in the Legacy Collection, IIRC.

That is very interesting to hear. I'll have to experiment with that. I don't believe I've seen menu options for that (the menus are a bit sparse) but it's possible it's an un-/under-documented feature.

I'll be playing around with "converting" WS SysEx files to .fxp/.fxb (and to/from Kronos .pcg) file format once I've finished getting the structure of the Legacy Cell instruments figured out. I'll keep the forums posted here as well as in the software developer area.

Cheers!

That's spot on according to Korg's official website:

"Original WAVESTATION series data can be imported via .SYX file"

(from the Specifications tab).

Cheers!
