I had the same problem with my pa50sd. When turning your keyboard on there is a combination of buttons to press you then have to reload your so and sounds. Will be back to factory settings.

Hi, I have the same problem in that the keyboard (PA80) hangs when booting. I was able to install the latest OS (3.06) but it still won't load. Did you get anywhere in solving this issue?
Thanks

Video of problem

Hi, I have uploaded the following video to YouTube showing what happens when I try and boot the keyboard. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f5_TS6mdv0). I have been told that I am likely to have to replace the main board but I am hopeful that if it is a hardware problem there is a component I can replace rather than the entire board.
Anyone able to help?

Is anyone out there able to help? I am at the point of taking my PA80 apart and then examining the electronic boards to look for errors and then try and replace any suspect component. Anyone done this before?

For everybody who has this kind of problems...
First of all,try a clean install of the Operating System 3.06,by keeping pressed the FADE IN/OUT button before hiting the YES button when you're prompted to install the OS from floppy disk.
This procedure will format the SSD of the keyboard,so after the install of the OS you will not be able to play any note, because everything is erased..
Then you will have to reinstall the Resources Disks, that can be downloaded from www.korgpa.com wich consists in 5 diskettes.
If this will not solve the problem, then it could be a hardware issue.
