Kronos: Shiny & Rough MS-20 Sound Set QR (FREE)

Shiny & Rough MS-20 Sound Set QR
32 Programs for the MS-20 Engine in the Korg Kronos.

Image

This sound set is made exclusively for the Korg Kronos synthesizer. It uses lots of the special features that the Korg Kronos MS-20 engine has to offer. There are Filter Pads, Monophonic Hard Sync Bass and Lead Sounds and FX sounds in this set.

All the sounds can be played with and without effects. To get the dry Raw sound you only have to press the SW1 button. This disables the Effects assigned to the sound. A few have an interesting patch panel setup to create feedback loops, for those patches use the Joystick.

Demo of the sound set (this is a new demo)

Performance tips and tricks
Every program uses the following setup for the Switches

SW1: Different Effect Setups
SW2: Lock JS-Y & Ribbon
JS-Y: Cutoff / Resonance

TIP: How does the Switch Locking works?
To change the sound move the JS-Y till you hear a sound you like and then press the SW2 to lock that sound. Keep in mind that when the SW2 is activated that the Joystick won’t work, since the values are locked as long as you the SW2 light is on.

Also try to change SW1, this can change a sound completely, most sounds have a different sound effect setup for switch 1.

I really would like to know which is your favorite program from this collection.

My personal favorites of this set are:
- Sound Ninja QR
- Classic Way QR
- Analog Acid Drift Bass QR

Have fun with the sound set!

The sound set can be downloaded from the free sounds section on my website at: http://www.quirobinez.nl

There are 7 free sound sets for the korg kronos in the free sounds section, so be sure to check them all out.

Thanks very much Qui, love the new soundset especially Sandstorm Pad, Mystic Forest Pad and Crystal Flowers Pad. I'm still amazed at the seemingly endless variety of sounds you get out of the Kronos. My all time favourite sound of yours is the Reso Dream Pad, but some of these new ones are up there too. Still loving the Angels Choir also by the way, that is sublime. I really appreciate all your hard work. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Many, many thanks

Nearly 500 views and only a dozen thanks. [-(

Come one peeps, show your love. Without Qui, his free banks and tutorials, the Kronos world would be poorer. I'm sure not 500 have downloaded this bank, but I bet a lot more than 12 have. Your Mum would clip your ears if she knew you'd downloaded stuff without saying thank you!
