After harddisk change, the unit refuses to boot from harddisk. USB mode works perfectly, but for no apparent reason the internal software does not work with the new disk.
So if someone could make an image of their working D888 harddisk for me I will be very grateful.

Problem was resolved. The Internal IDE cable had slight damage, which prevented the D888 from booting. I tucked in the cable carefully and it now works nicely.
Beware:
The cable is bolted to the mainboard connector. Changing it involves cutting a normal IDE cable in half and piercing the new cable on the spikes of the mainboard connector. This may be non-trivial, so be careful with the IDE cable if you need to change harddisk in a D888.
