Editor cannot detect Kaoss Pad?

Post by bmbmjmdm »

When I run the kp3 software, I connect my kp3 kaoss pad via usb. However when I try to do anything in the program, it says that there's no kaoss pad found. Not sure what's going on

Run the Uninstall Korg USB-midi device program. Clear out any old midi drivers between midi0-midi9. Run the Install Korg USB-midi device program. Then run the Uninstall program again to confirm that it's between midi0-midi9.

When I try to reinstall I get an error saying that this version of windows is unable to install driver software that is unauthenticated. Does Korg have authenticated driver software I can download because apparently the drivers included in the cd aren't.

Never use the drivers that come on the CD in the box. Always try to download the latest drivers from the manufacturer. That applies to just about any electronic product that comes with software or drivers. The stuff on the CD in the box is usually outdated before it hits the shelf, and usually outdated by multiple versions before you get it. So it saves a lot of time and frustration to not even bother using the CD and always check the manufacturer's website first.
