Will be a really welcome free update. Start screen looks infinitely better.

Nice for the tablets but why oh why can't they bring back the good old start menu. The poor excuse for a start button that just takes you to the new all apps screen is a joke.

The leaked images I saw had a Start button. Easily faked, but it was engadget.com where I saw them, so who knows.

Did you know if you swipe up from the bottom there's an All Program button right now ? Click that and you get an instant list of all the programs on your PC to click.

Seems quicker to me than the Start Button way.

If you have a keyboard with the Windows Key on it, Press that and Z to get the same menu.

For me the Windows key brings up the Start Screen. Then any key including Z shows the search Window. I'm doing this on a Win8 64-bit desktop PC while on the Desktop Screen. Perhaps it behaves differently on a Windows tablet?

No matter, it still wont get you the classic Start Menu. We will always have to rely on third party developers for that functionality.
