Nobody knows at this early date. We'll have to wait until the delers start getting product. The dealers set the price we pay.

korg 900 vs 800

Post by raymeezy »

So if its the 900 model is there a reason why the pa800 is still at a higher price range? I just bought an pa800...I can still return it, are there any significant differences?

Yes. I would advise you to return it.

The pa900 has everything of the 800 plus. For example, 4 fill ins instead of 2, bigger screen, better EQ'ing of sounds, master EQ, Chord sequencer, Lighter. New sounds, More memoery, MicroSD card slot.

Then why is the 800 still much higher price, 1000 difference actually then the 900 on krafts music site at 1899? Do you think if I pre order at 1899 they will change it?

Thats how they always did it, the pa2x was still available for the full price for quite a while after the pa3x was on the market... Even more expensive than the pa3x... Go figure.

They think were fools and would still buy the older one for more money...
:?

It might be because the pa900 just came out, and stores still stock the pa800, and are not just about to lower the price by $1000.......

I still highly suggest you return it while you can.
And then either pre order or wait till its available.

Yes, i am def going to do that, now that you said thats their norm it makes sense.

I heard its coming out in sept, so we shall see. NOW, will I still be able to play all my programmable beats, sounds, and samples from my pa800 to the 900 without any issues?

Here in the Netherlands, PA800 is at a lower price level (price is about 1.600 euro's) than PA900 (2.100 euro's) for more than a year now.

Different countries, different price strategies apparantly.

If you can change the keyboard, I would certainly advice you to do so.
PA800 is awesome, but PA900 is the newer, improved version of it.

Can anyone explain Korg's logic on leaving out the EC5 Multiswtch connection?? It is on the 800! I would have thought anyone wishing to upgrade to the 900 would want to continue to have this feature?

No connector but page 331 of the PA900 Users Manual refers to the EC5. A little copy and paste typo. ;-) You could always use the FCB1010 on the midi input.
