Thanks for you work, T; I know from experience how time-consuming this is, let alone filming your work to share.

OT: do you use you foot pedal with your EMX? I'm looking for a MIDI pedal for that sort of thing.

I did it this way because I had to make sure ALL the patterns I made on my EMX were still there and in the same order I had them saved in. Yes its for playing live shows. This isn't just a piece to keep in the studio. All the UK bass pack is, is a bunch of custom sounds and patterns that anyone could make themselves if they had the time and skil lset to do it. There's nothing in the UK bass pack that you couldnt theoretically make yourself. Like I said, I decided to help some people out by showing them how I did it. I never said it was the only way or the best way or the fastest way, but it seemed the most logical way for ME to do it.

Also I think if you were to upload the entire UK bass pack at once, everything from C.05 on is just empty space and can be used to load up all your original patterns. I'm not 100% positive that the UK bass stuff only goes to C.05 but I think that's what I remember from loading them all one by one last night.

Your welcome I hope I helped in some way. Your gonna LOVE these patterns man. There's great sounds to work off of for all different styles.

Thanks a lot man I appreciate that. I had trouble finding exactly what I was looking for online when I needed help doing this so at least it's there for the next guy. I don't know if you
re asking me when you say OT, but I don't use any foot pedals or anything MIDI at all right now. I probably should down the road though as I almost always have my hands full holding a guitar.

Personally I very rarely use presets, but every once in a while I tweak some to get the inspiration going. And I'm keen to see how these bass patches are programmed.

It seems, btw, I'll be going for the same solution as you when it comes to the ESX - one project at a time. Especially considering I have the SD version, plenty of room for saving and saving and saving....

Yeah, i think it all depends on what people are doing with a piece of gear. I don't save anything in the way of complete patterns or songs. I just can't do it, half of my gear is analogue & when i'm done with a tune i just scrap it all & move on. I have esx files but the end product recording is all that matters to me.

If you're performing some kind of live set with an emx1 then i get it. Tons of pattern storage & they never have to sound the same way twice. There's a lot that can be done with the electribe & it does sound good.

@DrHoo: the only value in the UK bass pack is to perhaps dissect the patterns and sound settings for ideas.

I DL'd the UK bass pack then after realising what an utter ball-ache it would have been to get onto my EMX and that I'd probably end up being disappointed with it, I chose not to proceed.

That being said I'm thinking of putting together a small pattern pack for people to download.. unless it proves to be time consuming, I'm lazy.

Cool. I wouldn't deny anyone their right to use a piece of equipment any way they choose but i was just trying to understand ,that's all.

I've had an emx1 & i have an esx1. I never got why anyone would want to play a load of preset stuff when this is production gear. When i first got my emx the first thing i did was to delete all the patterns & songs. I never loaded them again, wouldn't want 'em. Same with the esx. To me the thought of using someone else's material is inconceivable. I just get no pleasure out of that but that is just me i guess !

Not dismissing anyone . Just a bit bewildered.

We're on the same page then. I can't understand how anyone would want to use other peoples material but I can understand that going thru someone elses patterns could give fresh ideas, not that I've ever done so myself.I'd like to release some of my own patterns to the public, maybe I'm being naïve hoping people use them for learning/example purposes only.
