I've had a look in the service manual and I think the correct internal battery for an X3 is the CR2032.
On another forum I've also seen reference to a CR2016, but otherwise there's very little info from doing a google search.
Could anyone confirm the battery type, please?
Also, do you replace the battery with the power on to prevent loss of patch data, or do I have to resign myself to loading in afterwards (via sysex, as the FD has died)?

Ok, so I replaced the battery in my X3, but the warning message is still showing.
I remember reading some other comments online, maybe about the M1, saying there was a fault that makes the battery warning message come on even if the battery's fine.
Anyone know what the problem is?
