So, I installed the editor today, but weren't able to transfer samples.
Also, I was able to send wav-files to the sd card, but not to load them into the KP3's memory.
I found this thread: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=68922
that seems to explain the editor problem, but as I'm unable to load samples directly from the card, I suspect there might be other issues at work.
Any ideas?
btw: I haven't tried the suggested solution in the above thread, as it seems quite laborious and complicated. I must study this a bit before I venture into it, as I'm no computer wizard
KP3: Editor won't work, samples won't load

Ok, so I realised I had to convert the samples to the KP3 format before putting them on the card. After doing this, I managed to load them into the unit. Not all played back at the original pitch, though I had converted them all to 16 bit, 48khz.
Still not able to transfer the samples through the KP3 editor, but at least I found a way.
Great unit, btw, it fits neatly in with my other Kaoss Pads

check sysex is enabled on the KP3 and make sure all your drivers are up to date.
I think if the sample length is too long for the sample memory then it might also give you problems.
barring that if you're using Windows, run the Korg midi driver utility to see which slot the driver is located in.. if its in 11+ it probably wont work (I have found that Windows in all its wisdom has 20 midi driver slots and only the first 10 actually work)
