OK, the File is uploaded now into the same folder than the Sax Pack II itself, but not zipped at all. Just there´s now "Kronos Tenor Sax Pack 3.KSC" in the folder additionally.AdDeRoo wrote:Dear Garfield
Thanks very much for making available your 2nd sax pack
I have been able to download and extract, but I found that the file
"Kronos Tenor Sax Pack 3.KSC" is missing from the 2nd collection (I double checked thus now, redoing the download)
Could you check, and upload it, so we could explore that subset as well
Thanks in advance for your wonderful contribution. Have already replaced many saxes in my combi's with yours!

I managed to download succesfully using Firefox. With internet explorer I did not manage, it sort of froze indeed. So you might want to try Firefox

The link in this thread (and the thread discussing the release of the first part of this sax collection) no longer seem to be working. Is anyone who has it able to re-post please?
Edit - Disregard, the link came up, it was just extremely slow. Guess I'm just impatient to hear these saxes! Downloading now...

Go to http://www.mediacoustics.eu/ and follow the links to the Kronos Sax sound packs.
The links from the site appear to be working still.

I also downloaded the Saxophone Sound Pack 2 and am anxious to try it.
It downloads as a .zip file. When I unzip it, it creates a folder with lots of Kronos Sax Pack II.zXX files and another Kronos Sax Pack II.zip directory inside.
There are no installation instructions. How do I install it?
If I attempt to unzip the Kronos Sax Pack II.zip folder I can see the KSC and PCG files inside but it generates a "Source and Destination Volume cannot be the same" error.
Maybe it's simple but I need some help.
Thanks

It is useful to have both sound packs (1 and 2) downloaded, as some of the PCG files use the soundsets from both packs.
The Kronos Sax Pack II.zip folder should be opened and then use the extract all option to a folder using a directory that hopefully prevents the "Source and Destination Volume" error. The various Kronos Sax Pack II.zXX files, which also need to be downloaded to the same folder, will then be used by the extraction process. It may be necessary to use 7-zip rather than Winzip for this.

Voip,
7-zip also doesn't work. It says it cannot open the archive.
I decided to download the Kronos Wiener Piano because it's not in two parts like the Sax and should be simpler. But it doesn't extract either. I tried extracting to a different folder with a different name and even a different hard drive. Same result.
Is it working for you? How are you and other people doing it? I am using a Windows 7 desktop. Are there step by step instructions from Mediacoustics?
I can't find any information on the German language website and Google translation doesn't help.
I don't understand why all of the files were not put into one folder that was zipped instead of a zipped folder with zipped directories and zipped files within it.
What am I doing wrong?

Sorry to keep beating a dead horse but I'm not finding a solution.
I downloaded the Sax 2 files. They come zipped up. I am able to unzip the files. Inside the new unzipped folder are 64 Kronos Sax Pack II.zXX files, a Kronos Tenor Sax Pack .KSC file and a Kronos Sax Pack II.zip folder.
If I attempt to unzip the Kronos Sax Pack II.zip folder I get an error saying that the "Source and Destination Volumes cannot be the same."
I get the error no matter if I use WinZip or 7zip. Even if I change the name of the zip folder or the destination folder I get the same error.
I had someone else try to unzip the folder on his computer with the same error.
Has anyone actually installed the Sax Pack II sounds? If so, how are you doing it? Am I missing something? I have not seen any instructions?
If everyone else can unzip the files and I can't is there someway I can get them unzipped? I'd really like to try the sounds.
Sorry to keep asking but it's not working for me.
Thanks

We tried to open your PhP webpage direct link to the Sax zip file but it only brings up your main Studio website, which looks AWESOME!!!
Synth Wars - The Rise of the ARP 2600, OBX8 Kenobi - The Return of the Synth, MoogClaraVox, Criklon V2, in living color, Moog Model D, Neuman U67, 1961 Hammond C3 Brother of B , PS3300, to Poly Infinity and Beyond !!!
The original php weblink works no more. Links to the files can be found by going to: http://www.mediacoustics.eu and then navigating from there. One of the drop-down menus will contain the item "Soundpacks Fur Korg Kronos". The item actually links to: 192.186.204.114/mediacoustics/index.php/site-map/kronos
From this webpage there are links to the Sax sound files, Wiener Piano and Kronos Drawbar Collection. For the Sax sound files, ALL of the files (about 62 files for pack 1 and 65 files for pack 2) will need to be downloaded. The download site is hosted at mega.co.nz and may well offer a plugin to help with downloading, at least it did with Firefox.
WinRAR successfully extracted the files on a WinXP machine. There were two files with the same name (Kronos Sax Pack.PCG) one from each archive. I chose to rename the file from pack 2 as Kronos Sax Pack1.PCG. The files have the same size but different creation dates and, although the contents are identical for the most part, there are quite a few differences, so do not overwrite one with the other if you want to explore those differences.
