Hi - apologies if this has been asked/answered anywhere before, I did search but couldn't find it.
Is there any way of controlling the program change number that is sent out when using the Setlist. I've found that the program change sent out doesn't correspond to the combi/program number I've assigned to that slot.
Or am I stuck with the program change number that corresponds to the setlist location?
Cheers.

Re: Program Change in Setlist Mode
Combis can include Program Changes for external devices. If you put a Combi into a Set List Slot, I would think it should send out whatever Program Change you've programmed into the Combi.

Exactly. See this part of the Operation Guide:Scott wrote:Combis can include Program Changes for external devices. If you put a Combi into a Set List Slot, I would think it should send out whatever Program Change you've programmed into the Combi.
Set Lists -> Selecting and playing sounds -> Selecting Slots -> Selecting Slots and Set Lists via MIDI

Okay thanks for that info.
Just so I know I'm not barking up the wrong tree!
I want to control an effect unit from the Kronos - program change only no other information - and it's easiest and quickest to do this in setlist mode as some changes have to be pretty nippy.
So - I will have to set the FX unit to a midi channel other than the global channel and send the program change from within a combi - setting that part to ext2? Is this the right way to send the program change so that what ever the order in setlist - it'll always send the right Program change command?
Cheers.

Yes, that sounds right, and you would just put that combi in your desired Set List slot. But there is no ext2, the options are EXT or EX2. Use EXT to send a plain Program Change, or EX2 if you also have to send a bank change. The confusing part that tends to trip people up is that the Program Change is not labeled as its own parameter... it is selected by specifying the internal Program that corresponds to the Program Change number you want.vince66 wrote:So - I will have to set the FX unit to a midi channel other than the global channel and send the program change from within a combi - setting that part to ext2?
