Green horn hearing a honking sound while editing combis.

Post by ZenSonic »

Hi, I am busy editing Combis. I keep hearing a single short note honking sound (same pitch/tone/duration) on occasion on some of the patches I am editing. I have yet to upgrade the op system .... could this elevate the issue? Using 1. something now.

thanks in advance

Had the same sound on some combis when I tried to edit them or move between them. I had to uncheck all the preload items and load something other then the pre load associated with the problem combis and programs the reload with out the I went and rechecked them as preload and the problem was gone. This started to happen when one of my kids tripped on the power cord and unplugged the Kronos during a start up. Not sure his will fix your problem but it is worn a try.

Just to clarify I was wrong it wasn't a short honk it would sound continuously. Reloading all preloads and fixed it. This is not the problem you are having though it wouldn't hurt to try. I doubt it will fix it.

Embarrassingly, it was an intentional, single, rather loud horn note that sounded every few bars in the combi I was working on.

I did say "Green Horn" didn't I? Surprisingly and in spite of my lack of experience with keyboards, I am making some music that is blowing my mind with the Kronos!

Don't feel bad I have had the Kronos since late feb and it is my first ever synth! I am as green as they come when it come to synths, workstations or anything with keys.
