What to look for when buying 2nd hand radias ?

thanks for the answer its with keyboard ..I already a korg m3 61 with radiascard inside..Is it a big differnse between card and real radias?

I own the hardware version of the Radias and the biggest difference is--you have access to all those wonderful knobs and buttons! Being able to actually tweak a sound with a knob while you are playing makes all the difference in the world.

ok thanks i have to think its lot of new gears on the market in the same priceclass, its gona be lot of youtube to listen at radias ........

I know the last comment was about a month ago, but $1000 for the radias plus keybed is a pretty high price I'd say. While eBay seems like the first and best place to check out the Radias, I would also suggest going to guitarcenter and checking out their used gear:

Right now there's a radias plus keyboard for $699 and I believe a few months ago I picked one up from there for $599. You have to pay tax and shipping, BUT you have 30 days and you can return it. If something is wrong with it you get your shipping costs back too I believe, which is not the case with eBay. You can return it to any location in your area (if you're lucky to live near one).

Because you can get them for pretty low prices, I'd say wait until you find one for under $700 (with keyboard). A few years ago I picked up the Radias-R for $460 and bought the keyboard for $180 a few months later. People love jacking the prices up on eBay when no other product can be found, so... be sure to check out other websites (like amazon and guitarcenter) for better deals.

And just to chime in, Radias might be in the same price class as other gear, but, what it can do is far beyond its after market value. It's not "just" a VA and it's not "just" a vocoder.

The step sequencer allows for amazing, evolving soundscapes. There are other great features too but what I really love about Radias is the audio input. Imagine - if you are adventurous - routing a run of the mill ROMpler for instance through Radias. Remember that OSC 1 allows for an external audio source as a wave! That pad that everybody has heard from that workstation almost everyone has owned is now something completely new.

I am MIDIing my Radias to my V-Synth. Holy frijoles!!! The sound design possibilities are mindboggling.

I know the OP hasn't been around for a month, but, I wanted to pop in here for the benefit of anyone considering Radias. Buy it, create your own patches, MIDI it another instrument and go crazy.

It's that good!!
