too easy to see
Is it that easy? I can just select all my sng files copy and paste them into my USB drive....???
Why am i always looking for a more complicated answer when it comes to using advanced technology..
I haven't done it yet but I'm certain you are correct in directing me to do that. Thank you so much!!

Re: `
If you didn't load your SNG files they can't be saved by doing a "Save All". If you have newly created songs in memory, they can be saved by doing a "Save All". Doing any kind of a "Save" saves the data currently in memory.Theshae wrote:The guide says that if I Save All then the sng files will be saved as well, i have done it 3 different times now and everything seems to be saved except the sng files.

I was trying to back everything up that is on the harddrive. Honestly the only thing that I care about are the sng files. I'm not willing to load them I have 50-60. I noticed that loading them and then saving seemed to be the only way to save them. The user manual is a little misleading it says a save all saves all sng files on the hard drive.
Thank you again

Read my post earlier in this thread. I do this regularly with entire folders.Theshae wrote:Is it that easy? I can just select all my sng files copy and paste them into my USB drive....???

I believe what it means is that it saves all your SNG files that are in "memory" to the SSD (The Kronos doesn't have a Harddrive).Theshae wrote:I was trying to back everything up that is on the harddrive. The Kronos doesn't "Save" what is on the SSD. It saves what is in memory to the SSD. Just like a computer would save a document file. To back-up data on the SSD you copy it to your USB device. This saves the loading step.

Has anyone done a test by reloading the data from their backup to see if they've actually got it all? I don't do backups anyway near enough but when I do, I first load all my song data in and then do a backup to a usb stick.
I hope I'm getting everything.

OK, I finally got around to doing a backup of my data. I did a “Save All” as instructed to a USB drive as well as a copy and paste of a folder that I created on the SSD called My Sounds. That folder contains a few samples that I had created and saved to the SSD when I first purchased the Kronos. I took all of that and copied it to a folder on my computer that gets backed up to a backup service I have.
Is there anything that I missed?

You don't mention any SNG files. Only songs that were actually in the sequencer's memory at the time of the "Save All" are included. Unless of course they were in that My Sounds folder you copied manually.Cobra Jet wrote:OK, I finally got around to doing a backup of my data. For the rest, you seem well covered to me.

A song is a collected linear series of notes often accompanied with lyrics.Cobra Jet wrote:What's a "Song"?SanderXpander wrote:You don't mention any SNG files. Hi, waking this thread up again. Just one question, I have lot of songs with with both audio- and midi tracks in my Kronos 2. Audio tracks are wav files. I use them for backing tracks. I have loaded all the songs and do a Save All. Will the audio track wav files be saved as well in that Save All file? ...so if I load the Save All file into another Kronos 2 I will have everything in place?
...or do I need to back up the audio track files separatly in some way?
