Future of Korg Legacy?

Post by samplerbanker »

Hi,

is that possible that Korg will continues to improve the VST/AU version of the Legacy softwares, at least to the level of iPad versions?

Would be great, as they provide more functionality.

They have recently added 64 bit support so they are still investing some resources. However, I haven't heard of any other big upgrades in many years so although it's possible I wouldn't count on it.

I'd love to see the full-blown MonoPoly on the iPad and maybe even some iPod Touch ports of KLC instruments.

Conversely speaking I'd love to see MonoPoly end up in the Kronos set of engines! Or how about some iVolca apps!! :D

Does anyone know if the iMS20 can be used as a MIDI control surface with the camera connection kit?

Cheers!

There still are quite a few KORG synths/workstations which I would love to see as a VST, and considering the quality of the current legacy pack I sure hope KORG has not abandoned the idea of bringing back past synths and workstations in VST format.
It would be such a shame if they did.

Unfortunately it will never happen.

If Korg made M1 and Wavestation Rack Extensions for Reason, I would buy them.

DW6000!

With all waveforms and unique chorus effect. Added full polyphony, not 6 notes, and velocity sensing plus keyboardtracking this could be a MONSTER.

I would really like to see KLC in AAX format for pro tools 11. KLC still has some of my most used sounds and it is somewhat difficult to get them in my PT11 sessions. I have to use KLC in standalone and use soundflower to get the sound into PT. It works, but is a workaround at best.

PLEASE KORG.....update to AAX.

I think they are on it since they've upgraded recently, and has support on the legacy things. 64 bit support they have, and they continue to fix bugs in different DAWs. THe Mac version had problems a year ago.

I wonder if they think like this: Since there are possibilities to produce the same waveforms on M1 and Wavestation as on the very old ones, they may not plunge into getting just the GUI of old ancient synths right.

I wonder too, if there's a "card" or waveform set for DW6000/DW8000 that can be loaded into either M1 or Wavestation.

Better browsing in the V-analogs (P6,MS20, MP) is something I would hope for in the next updates. And a more stable Legacy Cell.
Just the Korgs; Kronos X88; M3exp w/EXBRadias; Radias rack; KLC; N5.
