Korg TR - possible to switch Midi OFF / Int by [SW1] ?

Post by Ricardo »

Hi All,
I want to switch by the means of [SW1] either
a) Midi OFF / Int of a channel
or
b) mute of a channel (or sound)
Is that possible ?

Thanks for a good idea :-)

Regards

You can't switch operations on and off using SW1 in the exact manner you describe, because there's no "hook" to hang the SW1 as an alternate modulation source (AMS)

You might be able to find an effect which when turned to either zero (dry) or 100% (wet) results in a nil output -- then select the SW1 as an AMS that will add or subtract the effect (+100%/-100%) resulting in silence.

Setting EQ with all frequencies zeroed and SW1 adding 100% might be one way. Compression set at a very low or negative value might also work if the effect balance is "wet".

There might be a very low volume of the original sound but that will usually be way under whatever is left.
